Fordham University School of Law is situated in New
York City.   With prestigious schools in the same
neighbourhood like Columbia and Cornell, Fordham
more than holds its own, with a growing reputation for
solid education and exceptional candidates.
Over 6,000 applicants try for Fordham University
School of Law every year, and only 24% are
accepted.   This selectivity is reflected in the median
LSAT score for acceptance, which runs at 165,
alongside a GPA median of 3.63.   All of this makes
Fordham University School of Law one of the more
difficult places in the country to gain acceptance to as
regards to legal study.

There is also a  part time program available for
Fordham law students.   Obviously, this requires lower
LSAT grades, and is an excellent way to gain a law
degree from one of the more prestigious institutions
while managing your life and work.  The part time
program costs around $28,000 for tuition, with the full
time costing about ten thousand dollars more.   The
part time program is one of the more respected ones in
the country, due to many of the professors from the full
time program also teaching in the evenings.
Furthermore, part time students are able to transfer to
full after a year of study, if they wish to.

In the areas of dispute resolution and intellectual
property law, Fordham University School of Law is
ranked as being one of the best institutions in the
nation.   It also runs the Joseph R. Crowley program in
International Human Rights, which, alongside other
programs in the school, offers students diversity in
education they would be hard pressed to find
elsewhere.  There are over 200 elective courses to
choose from after the first year.

Due to Fordham University School of Law being
situated slap bang in the middle of Manhattan, down
time tends not to be empty, with all the bars and
restaurants the city offers providing plenty for stressed
out new lawyers to do.   Obviously, due to the school’s
location, the cost of living is considerably high, with
accommodation in particular being expensive.
Over 86% of Fordham graduates secure a job within
the first year, and when you consider that this is inside
the lucrative Manhattan law market, this is an attractive
reason to join the school in itself.   Nearly 87% of the
students pass the bar on their first attempt.
Finally, perhaps the one feature that really makes
Fordham University School of Law so attractive to law
students is the fact that their graduates tend to find
jobs with the top 40 law firms in the country.   This is
reason alone for most applicants to seek a place at
Fordham.
