The City University of New York is the largest urban
university in America, and its law school opened in
1983.  It has a very left-leaning reputation and positively
prides itself on its graduate’s public service pedigree.   
The school’s motto is Law In The Service Of Human
Needs.

US News has ranked the City University of New York Law
School very highly.   It has praised the City University of
New York Law School’s fee structure, calling it one of
the least expensive schools in the country.   It also ranks
the school as a 4th Tier law school.   

Students currently attending the school publish the
internationally revered New York City Law Review.

Its alumni and professors have entered public service
folklore, and the City University of New York Law School
is generally viewed in legal circles as one of the best
